A query regarding trikes - ie 1 wheel at the front and 2 at the rear. There are a few issues regarding these and making something that meets the regs, in particular.
- The solid bulkhead forward of the drivers feet. - The roll bar. - The solid floor under all of the driver.
As far as I can see all of the trikes from last year would have failed these aspects - does that mean they were technically bikes?
A few of my teams have spotted the 'driftability' aspect of the competition as something to sink their teeth into.
Cheers, Will

Hi Will Thanks for the query, all multi wheeled vehicles including three wheeled trikes are subject to the multi-wheeled tech regulations.
They will need a front and rear roll bar, a bulkhead forward of the drivers feet to stop the feet escaping (this may take on different forms including running boards with edges) and a solid floor under the driver (again the position of the driver in relation to the moving front wheel will determine how easy this is to achieve.
Building from the start with the regulations in mind is the best way forward. A number of vechicles were limited in the races that they could compete in last year.
Thanks for your question.
Matt
